What Is Computer?

A computer can be defined as an electronic device/machine which is capable of accepting data, processing, storing data and producing output result under control programs.

Identifying the parts of the computer System
CPU           -        Central Processing Unit (Brain of the computer)
CPU is where all operational activities are coordinated or carried out.
VDU          -        Visual Display Unit e.g. Printer, Speakers, Scanner
What is Monitor?
Monitor is an output device that displays information on the screen.
Types of Monitor
CRT          -        Cathode Ray Tube
LCD          -        Liquid Crystal Display
Keyboard – is an input device that enable user to communicate with the computer system.

Computer Port: Is a channel, slot or holes in which wires are being connected to. Find below as thus:

What is Booting?
Booting is the process of initializing the hardware and software component of the system.
